This painting is the precursor to "The Awakened Aphrodite". It was done during a period of exploration into African art, which is expressed in the features of the woman's face. I was attempting to convey the feeling of total flow and release in the river of Life. An African Aphrodite with the bliss of Spirit blossoming in her heart.
