 This spring I made by annual sojourn to Kauai, my “Spirit” home. As with every visit, the first few days of my arrival on this beautiful island stands in strong contrast to my misty gray-green Oregon home. My great joy at being immersed in the mana of Hawaii is expressed in this painting. This joy-filled butterfly woman (butterfly is my main totem animal and you will see it over and over in my work) brings the sun down thru her third eye chakra into her heart and draws the aqua ocean up into her body. Delight radiates out in golden yellow rays, reaching far in every direction.
