Garden of Bliss (Study #1)

One of the most peaceful and blissful times in my life occured unexpectedly in the Spring of 2001, in the midst of intense and firey Menopausal Changes. I painted a series of “sister” paintings, all inspired by my beloved niece and muse, Mica. I love to paint her heartshaped face, full cheeks and smiling eyes and she shows up in many of my works. Here she is a bride, in complete union with Spirit. Unlike many of my reaching/longing figures, she is fullfilled and content, represented by the beautiful Spring bouquet of calla lillies and tulips. Energy ribbons spiral thru and around her and the flame of inner knowing gently glows in her third eye.
