Two Sisters, One Soul

Images of Spirit, Empowering Women, Honoring the Sacred Feminine Two Sisters, One Soul

1994 Mara Berendt Friedman

acrylic on canvas, 18 x 24 in.

I consider this a very important painting in the evolution of my career as an artist. An very early work, it represents the beginning of my devoted exploration of the Sacred Feminine. Also, it is a 'symetrical-butterfly' image, of which i did many. At the time of this work, I was living in Hawaii and my sister Karen was living in Oregon... I am the dolphin and she is the deer. Held in the blue ocean of Love, we are joined across time and space by the eternal golden flower of Spirit.
